January - December

  • January: A healthy start to the year is the best way to begin a year. No matter how many goals you set, you won't achieve much if you aren't healthy.

  • February: I usually ask people I coach, "What's your number one goal and who can help you with it?" Most of the answers are me, myself, and I. The first step indeed begins with you, but you still need people in your life. We'll use the month of February to focus on building and maintaining our relationships.

  • March: No matter what your personal financial goals are, your life goals and dreams will cost you something. In addition to countless hours, dedication, and a strong will, it's going to cost money – either yours or someone else's. In March, we'll look at our money and set some goals and routines that will help us level up on our finances.

  • April: I don't know about you, but it's hard to concentrate on my goals when my home is not in order. When I'm trying to get work done and can't find something in my office, or I have a big event planned and my garage is disorganized, or I have been looking for a document for over an hour, I get frustrated. April is the perfect time to use all of the spring-cleaning resources to get your house in order.

  • May: Listen, we live in a hectic world. In 2020, Covid- 19 had everybody on lockdown; it was the biggest world pajama party. We wore them during the day and then changed into our night pajamas. We were forced to take care of ourselves. My hope is that we would continue to purposely make time for ourselves, not just when it's forced upon us by tragedy. We'll use this month to pause and reset.

  • June: As we enter into the summer months, this is a great time to plan fun. Take a break from the cares of this world and schedule some intentional activities that keep you laughing and enjoying life.

  • July: This month will be dedicated to personal development. This is the month to read your magazines, pull out your books, listen to your audiobooks, and learn a new word, new skill or language. With our world changing so much, it's never too late to learn.

  • August: In 2020, our world as we knew it was rocked. Most of us saw our friends lose their jobs, get laid off, get furloughed. I also saw friends and family work longer hours, move out of state, work side gigs, and start or expand their small businesses. For August, we are focusing on our careers, and I hope you pick one that you actually love. In this day and age, your income potential is unlimited. To start, all you need is a cell phone and access to social media.

  • September: It's an understatement to say that today's family is busy. Individual members spend most of their time working, going to school, and engaging in extracurricular activities. We'll take some time during this month to intentionally plan family time.

  • October: As we enter into this month, everyone's focused on Halloween. It's what I call the month of pretend and make-believe. We are surrounded by ghosts and goblins all month long. That spiritual energy is in stores, amusement parks, and even at our jobs. Take some time this month to discover what you believe spiritually so you can demonstrate that belief in your goal setting and achieving.

  • November: After almost two years of being on lockdown from Covid-19, I'm writing this book as the world is beginning to open up again. When this book reaches your hands, I'm not sure where we'll be regarding travel and what will be available, but use this month to plan current or future adventures.

  • December: This is the last category for the year. For this month, we'll be focusing on our giving goals. What better time can we pick to plan our giving for the month? This is also a great time to plan your intentions for giving for the following year.
